Indicator applicability: cage culture in marine/brackish waters using copper nets or copper-treated nets The UoC shall demonstrate that copper levels in the sediment are ≤34 mg Cu/kg dry sediment weight, following the method outlined in Appendix 7 (7.6). An exception applies where copper levels in sediment > 34 mg Cu/kg dry sediment weight, in which case the UoC shall demonstrate that the levels fall within the range of background concentrations measured following the method outlined in Appendix 7 (7.6).
