Requirement

The UoC shall provide access to an appropriate and clean area to prepare food and eat during breaks.

How Do I Interpret This Requirement?

  • The provision of a clean area to prepare food is important for employees’ health and for reducing the risk of illness.

  • In warm climates, there should be adequate shade for employees to have their breaks in.
