Requirement

Indicator applicability: any person aged 18 and above. The UoC shall ensure that all employees are granted at least 11 consecutive hours of rest within a 24-hour period.

How Do I Interpret This Requirement?

  • Rest for a period of 11 consecutive hours within a 24-hour period ensures that employees have an adequate amount of time for both sleep and personal free time.

  • All employees, regardless of their shift pattern, require this rest.
