Review and revision
ASC shall review this Standard at least once every five years according to the requirements of the ISEAL Code of Good Practice, considering its continued relevance against ASC’s intended outcomes and impacts, and its effectiveness in meeting ASC’s objectives.
If review determines that revision is necessary, ASC shall revise the Standard accordingly, publishing the new version on the ASC website with the issue date, effective date and date of next review.
If review determines that revision is not necessary, ASC shall reaffirm the standard, communicate publicly about the decision and rationale, and establish the date of next review.

The ASC Farm Standard will become effective on August 1st 2025. From this date, ASC will start accepting audit announcements against the ASC Farm Standard. Recognising the need for farms to transition to the new ASC Farm Standard, it will only become mandatory on May 1st 2027. From this date, all audit announcements must be against the ASC Farm Standard.
